BACKGROUND

Born: Dodge City, Kansas - a LONG time ago!
Raised: Grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado and Southern Indiana. Went to college at Indiana University majoring in Physiological Psychology and Creative Writing.
Story: My life has always been full of music and performing. As a kid, my brother and I decided we would be the lipsyncing Beatles. My brother went on to become a “stage coach” and is huge in theatre arts and acting. He also sang for the Kentucky Opera Association. My sister sings - opera and Broadway. My mom and dad, though appearing not very musical had some hidden talents of their own. I went on to aspire to become a folk singer and a rocker. I took keyboard lessons from age 5 until I was old enough to decide to switch to violin, which I traded in for a guitar at age 12. But all I really ever wanted to do was sing so I decided that my voice would be my main instrument and I could always accompany myself with keyboards or guitars. My mom always told us not to depend on others for entertainment, but to create our own. My first rock band was formed in high school and stuck through college, and I played solo at a couple of coffee houses and other places like that - i loved the band situation best! After college I wanted to take it on the road. In 1977 I left to play music on the road with my band and didn’t look back. Holiday Road was born in 1984 with a change of agencies. Living on the road in hotels for almost 16 years, in 1992 I moved to Iowa. After playing locally and then taking an extended break due to personal decisions and other factors, I re-formed Holiday Road in 2003 and found the Professor of Guitars and Math, Walter Seaman in 2004. The rest, as they say is history and with my fantastic, talented band of the coolest boys around - we are crusing down Holiday Road at full speed!
