The Story

Originally started in 1984 by veteran full-time road musicians, Shannon Price and Bruce Breazeale, Holiday Road, known for their tight music and great vocals, quickly fell together with the addition of drummer Roger Tinsley and bassist Jeff Rambo, and became one of the most sought after road bands in the 1980’s and early 90’s. Holiday Road was signed on by 4 separate booking agencies, playing 5-6 nights a week, 50 weeks a year everywhere from dance halls and lounges to warming up concert acts, singing for studio recording sessions and radio spots all over the U.S. and parts of Canada.
In 1992, Texas/Indiana based musician Shannon Price and local musician Bruce Breazeale, moved to Iowa City and jumped right into the local music scene, making friends and music with local talent. Bruce had become terminally ill at that time and after Bruce’s passing in 2001, Shannon and drummer Roger Tinsley re-formed Holiday Road in 2003 with screaming guitar licks from Professor Walter Seaman. Adding bass, vocals and web production is talented multi-musician Mike Heimburger, originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan and now a North Liberty resident. Recent additions and changes to Holiday Road are Cedar Rapids musician, Ken Winter on drums and vocals, and a fifth member, Cedar Rapids musician Roger Wetlaufer on second guitar and vocals make the new and exciting line-up!
Always a band in demand, Holiday Road, with Shannon’s legendary vocals, is making great music once again.
